Under the leadership of Elder Dr. Bernard C. Yates, on February 15-18, national officers, auxiliary heads, regional vice presidents, state presidents, moderators, pastors, elders, and laity will assemble our Annual Board of Directors’ Meeting, 37th F. L. Livingston Institute, Institute Evangelistic Worship Services, and attend a certification course offered by Evangelical Training Association (ETA) at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel, 2101 Richard Arrington, Jr. Boulevard North, Birmingham, Alabama.
On Sunday, February 15, at 5:30 p.m., an Evangelistic Institute Worship Service will be held at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, 2012 Lynch Avenue, Meridian, Mississippi. Elder Maurice Lee is the host pastor. Elder Brandon Mason, pastor of Locust Ridge Primitive Baptist Church, Arrington,Tennessee, will deliver the message and the Mississippi Primitive Baptist Mass Choir will provide the music.
Evangelical Training Association (ETA) of Chicago, Illinois, in partnership with Urban Ministries, Inc. of Calumet, Illinois, will offer a course entitled “Evangelism For The 21st Century”. This 10-hour certification course begins Monday afternoon, February 16, and ends on Wednesday morning, February 18. Dr. Kevin Riggs is the instructor. The cost of the course is $100.00 which includes the 37th F. L. Livingston and Board Meeting. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate will be issued by ETA. Board Meetings are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, February 17 and 18, and our national vice president—Elder Kenneth A. Duke—is chairman of the Board of Directors. NOTE: If you did not pre-register on or before Friday, February 6, please bring your financial contributions and register onsite.
The 37th F. L. Livingston Institute Lectures, under the directorship of Elder Dr. J. Lucious Fitzgerald, will be held on Tuesday, February 17, and Wednesday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m. Elder John Clay, president of Huntsville Bible College, Huntsville, Alabama, is the lecturer on Tuesday and Elder Roger Russell, pastor of Stones River Primitive Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the lecturer on Wednesday.
Institute Worship Services are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday nights, February 16 and 17, seven o’clock, at Crumbey Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 444 58th Street, Fairfield, Alabama. Elder Melvin Robinson is the host pastor. Reverend Timothy Woods, pastor of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama, is the guest preacher on Monday night and Reverend Clinton McFarland, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, will deliver the Closing Sermon on Tuesday night. The North Alabama Primitive Baptist District Choir will provide the music on Monday night and the music will be provided by Crumbey Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Mass Choir on Tuesday night.
