NEWS ALERT: General President Kenneth A. Duke’s Appeal in the Wake of Hurricane Michael

As your General President, I would like for members of our national body to continue to pray for the people in the states of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and in other outlined areas—especially those individuals from our national denomination who live in the affected areas, who have lost homes, jobs, and who have been displaced because of Hurricane Michael.
Therefore, I am requesting all pastors and churches in our national body to petition a special prayer on tomorrow morning during your worship services and lift a monetary offering to assist individuals who are affected.
Monetary donations can be given through Givelify or by sending your checks to Elder Hewitt Sawyers, our National Treasurer, 211 Dover Place, Franklin, TN  37067.  Checks are to be made payable to the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA; and, in the memo section, indicate Emergency Disaster Relief Fund.
We will continue to assess the conditions and needs of the affected communities and keep you, our national family, informed relative to how we will continue to assist those who will need help in their recovery for many weeks to come.
Thank you for your concerns, prayers, and the sacrifices you will make to lift others in their time of need.
Yours in Christ,
Elder Dr. Kenneth A. Duke
General President
